    Brief presentation.
    Version française: up
    (last change: 31/07/2000)
In 1999, on Paris 1, Roma 3 and Utrecht universities initiative, an european net for cooperation associating teaching teams in Philosophy departments specialized in Logic and metamathematics in Europe, was created.

This cooperation program includes students and professors exchanges. These are governed by official generic agreements set at the level of European Community ("ERASMUS-SOCRATES" agreements). In particular, the way diplomas (obtained in a foreign country) are validated, is the one fixed at the european level in the framework of "Erasmus-Socrates exchange Programs".

The general principle is that a student who succeeded in the distant country, is considered to have succeeded in his own country.

Grants for students are available (rather low amount, and whose level depends on the country where the student goes).

The professors responsible of the net are: Jean-Baptiste JOINET (France), Michele ABRUSCI (Italy) et Albert VISSER (The Netherlands)

    Contents of lectures there given:

An Erasmus-Socrates student in Logic at Paris 1 follows either the courses of the "Licence de Logique" degree, or those of the "Maîtrise de Logique" degree. The decision concerning which degree is relevant, is taken by the professors responsible of the exchange program.

A presentation of those courses (contents, level, number of hours each week etc) is available (in french) on the web pages of the "Studies Program in Logic" (Second cycle de Logique). Be careful, those informations could be updated. For a more secure and complete information, you can also consult the current "Brochure de la licence et de la maîtrise de Logique" (in french, and which is the only official information).
